Next Band Booster Meeting

November 8th, 7:00pm Highschool Band Room

Please plan to attend.

I just want to wish each of you a Happy Thanksgiving. Also I have set up a page for the members of the band. To check it out click here

Added November 6th

All students should have their uniforms(rental) cleaned and show proof with the reciept to Mr. Dubose by November 15th.

As of right now we are planning on doing a Holiday in the Park performance at Visionland. The date is December 9th. Mr. Dubose has extended the invitation to include colorguard, majorettes, dance club, B-team and varsity cheerleaders, choir and any other PG group that wishes to join.

Please check the calendar for up coming events you can work at the civic center in November.

I want to personally thank each and every parent that worked hard and helped at every ball game and competition. I would list all of you here but I am sure I would end up leaving someone out so I will just thank all of you. Don't forget we still have the concert season and we will still be needing people to work at the civic center because around this time it is usually the busiest. If you are new to the booster's our job continues on even though marching season is over. We still meet the second Monday of every month in the band room at the highschool.

Again, thanks go to each and every one of you. A special thanks go to Mr. David DuBose and Mr. Andrew Briddell. Without you, none of this would be possible.

Sincerely,
Craig Boggan

Mr. Dubose has planned a wonderful spring trip this year. The dates are March 29- April 3. It will include a The Big Red Boat cruise to the Bahamas and a day at Universal Studios in Orlando. The marching band will be performing in Nassau and the auxilliaries will perform aboard the ship We are also planning to have the band banquet on the cruise. Details regarding the exact schedule will come later. The cost of the trip is $600.00 for those who are willing to room four to a room. Triple occupancy will cost $625.00 and double will be $680.00. All current band members and their immediate families are welcome to join us. Up to 150 people are allowed on the trip. We need reservations for anyone wanting to go by Oct. 8, along with a $100.00 deposit. All payments must be completed by January 14, 2000. We must have the final payment to Orlando by January 21, 2000. If need for financing the trip is required, please contact the boosters executive board.

We have planned several fund raisers to help defer the cost of the spring trip. They include:

CHRISTMAS VILLAGE AT FIRST BAPTIST - NOV 19-20 Several peole have hand crafted items to sell and donate for the event. If anyone has a craft to make or is willing to help make crafts please call Bonnie Gregg at 744-4649. The times for the Christman Village are Nov. 19 from 9-9 and Nov. 20 from 9-2.

KRISPY KREME COUPON SALE - YEAR ROUND The cost of the coupon books will be 50 @ $1.50 each or if we buy 2 or more books the cost drops to 50 @ $1.40 each. This item can be used at any Krispy Kreme at any time and we will be able to sell these year round. We suggest that the coupon be sold at $3.00 each whichis still a good price and depending on how many you sell you could make $32.00 per evry 20 coupons you sell at the $1.40 price per coupon. If anyone has any suggestions for other fundraisers we welcome the input. Remember every littlle bit we do to raise money will lower the cost of each child trip and allow everyone an opportunity to go on this exciting trip.
